Unboxing JoeK's Jason

I'm a big fan of JoeK's Odyssey line (well, actually I'm a fan of most things Brindie) so I jumped at the chance to pick up a Master Cast of the next mini up for release - Jason - when they were offered up at the end of August.

The awesome looking Odyssey range.

As a Master Cast release, Jason arrived in a black business card case along with both an art card and a Master Cast card.

You get 5 resin pieces and a 30mm base - Body, Spear arm, Shield arm, hair and a rather flimsy but detailed cord.

After checking on the artwork, I worked out that the cord goes on these two helpful gaps - one midway up the spear, the other on Jason's elbow, linking him to the weapon.

He's certainly not someone you'd want to be on the bad side of, what with that grumpy face and the amount of muscle packed onto him. The hexagonal scaling theme also continues, with the design mainly apparent on the shield.

As far as the model itself goes, as you might expect from a Master Cast, mold lines are almost non existent and there is only a little flash that would need cleaning off, with the worst being on one end of his shield.

If you missed out on getting a Master Cast Jason and fancy one, he'll be back in 2016 on full release from JoeK's webstore.
